Gareth is a qualified solicitor in England & Wales with nearly 30 years’ qualified experience in private practice and in the IT, transport and business services industries. He joined the Board in 2024.

Gareth is European Director of Legal Affairs for Sodexo, based in London and responsible for the management of the organisation’s corporate governance and legal affairs in the UK&I and Continental Europe regions. Gareth is Chair of Sodexo’s STOP Hunger Foundation in UK&I and has been a trustee at SOFEA.
Gareth recently competed a master’s degree in Practical Ethics at the University of Oxford, focusing on AI ethics. He has a degree in English and French law having studied at Exeter and Aix-Marseilles universities.
He is a qualified and experienced executive coach (Certified Professional Coactive Coach) and runs Sodexo Legal’s global mentoring programme.
Previously, Gareth was the Director of Legal and Compliance at Transport for London for 3 years working with the Mayor of London’s Office and before that, 8 years with Hewlett-Packard as Head of Legal UK & Ireland and managing lawyers and projects in EMEA and the US.
Gareth lives in Beaconsfield, England and is married to Louise, with two adult children. He enjoys philosophy, ethics and cycling.
