Thoughtful Trainer & Teacher
Lisa delivers Philosophy for Children (P4C) training for primary and secondary schools, supports schools pursuing Thoughtful accreditation and led Gallions to become the UK’s first Gold Award P4C school.
Lisa Naylor is an experienced Philosophy for Children (P4C) practitioner and trainer and has been a Thoughtful-registered trainer since 2005. She leads P4C in her own school and works with teachers from Nursery to secondary level to develop thoughtful, enquiry-based classrooms where dialogue, reasoning and curiosity are central to learning.
Alongside supporting schools in London and the south east to embed P4C across their curriculum, Lisa regularly delivers Level 1 P4C training to schools and organisations across the region. She also works as a trainer with Thoughtful on the BREE project, supporting more than ten schools to develop high-quality philosophical enquiry and reflective practice.
Internationally, Lisa collaborates with a school in Bangkok, Thailand, visiting each year to deliver Level 1 P4C training for new staff and to support the continued development of philosophical dialogue across the school.
Her particular interests include oracy, enquiry-based learning and whole-school P4C development, helping schools build sustainable cultures of thoughtful dialogue and critical thinking.
