Rob Unwin
Thoughtful Trainer, Education Adviser and Director DECSY and CRESST
Former teacher and National Leader for the Global Learning Programme and Connecting Classrooms through Global Learning Programme, Rob Unwin has been delivering Thoughtful Philosophy for Children (P4C) Level 1 training since 2012 and Level 2 since 2020. He supports whole school approaches to P4C through Thoughtful’s Grow P4C scheme
Rob works as an education adviser and international trainer for the Development Education Centre South Yorkshire, an independent teachers professional and curriculum development organisation focused on global learning and holds an MA in Development Education (IoE, 2010).
He is also Programme Director for CRESST, which supports teachers with conflict resolution education. He organises continuing professional development training, resources for teachers, and sessions for pupils, coordinates curriculum development initiatives and the development of original resources (print, web and film). He has worked as a consultant for the Aga Khan Foundation, Link Community Development, Xiehe Schools as well as for the British Council (in the UK, Ethiopia, Lithuania, China and Sri Lanka) and The British School of Rio.
